I’m a classically-trained chef and happily spend hours, days, even weeks in pursuit of that perfect new flavor combination. I’ve loved meringues since I was a little girl, when I would buy them at the corner shop in my Puerto Rican hometown. I make it a point to infuse sunshine, tropical flavors, and my family’s love affair with cooking into our meringue creations.
I learned farm-style baking from my mom out on the Kansas prairie. To this day, some of my fondest memories are in that country kitchen: baking bread and cookies for holidays, family game nights around the table, and morning prayers before everyone started their day.
